What does your job title actually mean?
I provide the creative direction and ensure everything we produce is of the highest possible standard. I may no longer mop the floors, but I’m still very hands on and ensure I maintain a presence in all areas.
What has been your path into this industry?
I am Cordon Bleu trained, and upon my return from travelling extensively around the world for 5 years, I decided it was the right time to follow my dream and set up my own catering business.
What is your Favourite Meal?
Anything that involves good honest cooking.
What is your Favourite Drink?
What do you like best about your job?
It’s a never ending learning curve.
What is your kitchen nightmare?
My children and an electric whisk.
What is your kitchen heaven?
A smooth service.
Most memorable event you have worked on at EJ Catering?
The first “True Taste Awards” for which we had to prepare 450 covers over 5 courses. It was an amazing achievement and milestone for EJ Catering, and paved the way to many more amazing events, including catering for “Iron Man” for which we cooked pasta for over 1000 people.
What is your hidden talent?
I’m not bad with a diablo.
